Emo riffs of mineral, get up kids and the deftones along with beat driven neoperro style vocals inspired the aesthetics in Xeno . Unlike his previous release I.C. Nobuyuki Sakuma’s new record is heavy on vocals featuring collaborations with π, Milky, DAFTY RORN, RIA, and BBBBBBB. He set out to create a vulnerable drama with Xeno. CVN was inspired by Tsutomu Niehei aesthetics and the tv drama Keizoku and wanted the record to read as an emotional OST. As the operator of Avyss magazine Xeno is a successful communal effort and an accurate summative review of compelling music bubbling out of the Tokyo underground.
